Company’s dealing with media companies to make handsets themed off their properties is going to become common. The reverse already happens with smartphone companies paying millions of dollars to have their products in movies and TV. Now themed products are a real thing, just like Samsung’s Galaxy S6 with Avengers color schemes. Sony is the latest to follow this growing trend with the Xperia J1 Compact: The Phantom Pain.

The Phantom Pain is the title of the latest game in the Metal Gear franchise, the second part of the Metal Gear V chapter in the famed series. Sony has teamed up with publisher Konami to team up on a limited edition smartphone that celebrates the upcoming game.

With a silver color, the Xperia J1 Compact: The Phantom Pain comes with an Outer Heaven logo, which is the symbol used by the game’s protagonist Big Boss for his base. Elsewhere this is a standard J1 Compact with a 4.3-inch 720p screen, a 2.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of native storage, a micro SD card slot, a 20.7 megapixel primary camera, and a 2.2 megapixel front facing lens.

The handset will cost the same as $480 when it arrives as a Japanese exclusive.
