Smartphone manufacturers are finally getting to terms with the fact we want bigger and better battery life as well as focusing on fast charging and wireless options – but it seems Samsung doesn't care all that much.
Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ are now reportedly set to launch with a 3000mAh battery pack inside.
The new phablet devices – heavily rumoured to be the subject of the Samsung Unpacked event tomorrow – will both boast the same size cells according to serial tipster Evan Blass.
Is that it?
Blass has previous experience in the area, being the driving force behind some of the biggest phone leaks in recent years, so we're definitely listening.
The Galaxy Note 4 came about this time last year with a 3220mAh battery pack and we'd come to expect a yearly upgrade.
It seems Samsung may have opted to trim the battery down to make a slimmer phone this time around - let's just hope it'll have fast charging to make up for it.
