Google hasn't breathed a word about the future of its Nexus smartphones, but the leaks have come so thick and so fast that it would be a huge surprise if we didn't see a new Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 before the year's end.
The latest fuel for the fire is a set of renderings depicting a 2015 edition Nexus 5 made by LG. These aren't leaked images - they're computer-generated pictures based on schematics supposedly released to accessory makers.
uSwitch and @OnLeaks are the people behind the freshly generated pictures, and those sources are both good enough to make us think there's something in this. The images fit in with previous rumours too.
Front, back and sides
So what are we looking at? The hypothetical phone sports a 5.2-inch screen and a fingerprint sensor around the back (LG obviously following the same approach as it did with the G3 and the G4).
USB Type-C is present and correct, as you could have probably guessed, and there's a protruding camera lens together with dual speakers. The source of the images says the phone may well have a metal frame and plastic back.
As for when this phone will see the light of day, we're not altogether sure. Android M will presumably be launching at the same time, and based on previous Nexus launches we'd mark the calendar for October or November.
