To meet the ever growing customer demands, Domestic handset brand Intex has finally launched its first Android 5.0 Lollipop based smartphone, Aqua Star L priced at Rs. 6,990 after Xolo provided the Lollipop updates for two of its smartphones in India.
This move by Intex makes it the first Indian mobile brand to have released an Android 5.0 Lollipop preloaded into it.
The dual-SIM mobile has a 5-inch 480x854 pixels FWVGA IPS display which may not impress many. Yet, it has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera and comes with a camera application which includes features like HDR, Face Beauty, Panorama, Live Photo Mode and Continuous Shot.
Aqua Star L has an inbuilt memory of 8GB which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core (unspecified chipset) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
On the connectivity front, the Aqua Star L offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. The smartphone is backed with a 2000mAh battery and weighs 130 grams.
With all features bundled at an affordable price, it is yet to be known whether Intex will be able to lure in customers or not. The phone will be available in black and white colours, exclusively on online marketplace Snapdeal.com starting February 16.
