Indian mobile maker Lava International launches Iris Fuel 20, yet another budget smartphone as a new family member of its Iris Fuel series priced at Rs. 5,399. The highlight of the device is its enormous 4,400mAh battery which the company claims to deliver up to 42 hours of talk time on 2G networks, 13 hours of video playback and 35 hours of music playback time.
To keep up with the ongoing trend of phablets, the Iris Fuel 20 comes with a 5-inch display with FWVGA 854x480 resolution. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor coupled with rather slower 512MB of RAM. The combination of the processor and ram may not impress those who are on the constant lookout for multi-tasking abilities.
Also, the phone comes with a rather older Android 4.4 KitKat. It features a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, 4x digital zoom and a high quality Omni Vision sensor for decent pictures. But, for those who would love to stay connected with friends and families through high quality video calls, the mobile is a bit disappointment as it comes with a VGA front-facing camera.
Unfortunately, the mobile also does not support 3G network connectivity which seems to be a great downfall in the trending era of 3G and 4G networks. The phone includes microUSB v2.0, Bluetooth V4.0 and WiFi with a decent 4GB internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
However, we can predict that the mobile phone may make its rounds in the mobile market as it is designed to meet the needs of heavy smartphone users who are looking for a device with astounding battery life that lets them utilize the phone through the day and more.
The Iris Fuel 20 will be available from February third week in white and Metallic grey colors. It also bundles a free flip cover.
