We know that Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 5 at a special Unpacked event on August 13, the company has already sent out invites for the press. Another sign that the phablet is due to arrive is its continued presence on benchmark databases, with the latest seeing the Note 5 show what a beast it will be through AnTuTu.
Sure, benchmark scores are not the be all and end all, and only end user tests will say how powerful the Galaxy Note 5 is. Nevertheless, its AnTuTu score is hugely impressive and is actually better than anything else out there, including Samsung’s own Galaxy S6 flagship. A score of 68,345 through AnTuTu beats all smartphones tested through the first half of 2015, the Galaxy S6 was the previous leader with 67,520.
The benchmark also revealed the specs of the Galaxy Note 5, and for the most part they tally with previously leaked information. A 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display will sit on the front with Quad HD resolution, while Samsung’s Exynos 7420 flagship processor will act alongside of 4GB of RAM to handle that blazing performance. Elsewhere there will be 32GB of storage (no micro SD slot), a 16 megapixel primary camera, a 5 megapixel front shooter, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Samsung’s own UI.
