When a flagship starts to get surpassed by newer, more spec’d models, companies will look for ways to revamp the handset. This may be advanced like a spec overhaul or simple like a new color, and LG has opted for the latter with the LG G4 White Gold Edition.
This handset has been unveiled in South Korea and adds a new colorway for the G4 comprising a white front and rear panel framed by gold strips on the side. It is worth noting that these strips are plastic despite their gold hue. LG says that this handset is marketed towards “women and young customers” but we have yet to figure out precisely why.
In terms of innards, the G4 White Gold Edition brings nothing new to the party for LG’s 2015 flagship, which remains a potent handset nonetheless. We imagine this will eventually get a global rollout once it does the rounds in LG’s homeland.
